Advanced Seal is who you need to go with if you want spray foam done. Any time we have had them out for a job is it done the same day, even some very large areas. As you can see in the pictures attached they take great pride in not only doing a good job & matching their pledge on foam amount; but also are the cleanest you will find at applying it. No mess, no overspray, done how you would hope it would be. Great people to work with!

Steve and his team came out and did an excellent job for us. We had mice, bats, and possibly a squirrel living in our attics. They came in and sucked out the old insulation, sealed cracks/openings, and applied the spray foam to replace the blown in insulation. They cleaned up after themselves, did excellent work, and hauled everything away. They responded quickly when I first reached out, educated us on what our issues were and how to move forward, and treated our home as if they were working on their own home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Once again Steve and his team did what they said they would do, on time and on budget. Their attention to detail is remarkable. They have now foamed our house, my office in the barn and now our entire barn. Honest, hard working, competent. Great midwestern values.

This is the second time I have contacted Steve at Advance Seal for spray foam at my house. They came out in 2021 on short notice and sprayed my crawl space before winter. This time around they spray foamed my 40 x 64 pole building. Quality of work, and professionalism is by far the best in our area. 👌

Steve is simply the best. I’ve had him 3 different times for different projects. Always the same. Work is done correctly and efficiently and looks great. The best is his attention to the small stuff, drop clothes, plastic to cover things to not be damaged. Then the clean up after. Besides having the unbelievable warmth and sealing the foam does. It was like they were never here. I truly wish every contractor I worked with was just like Steve I cannot say Enough good things about him. I’ve always felt like he gives me more than what I paid for. Highly highly recommend

Frequently Asked Questions

If you feel drafts, see dirty “wind-wash” streaks in existing insulation, or have big temperature differences room-to-room, air leakage may be a major driver. In real projects, crews sometimes seal cracks/openings before reinsulating (especially after pest activity or old insulation removal). During an inspection, look for bypasses around plumbing stacks, attic hatches, and top plates.
It can help reduce the likelihood. Ice dams are often caused by uneven roof temperatures—heat escaping into the attic melts snow, which refreezes at the eaves. Insulation (paired with proper ventilation) helps keep attic temperatures more consistent, reducing melt/refreeze cycles. It’s not a “guarantee,” but it’s a common building-science reason insulation upgrades are recommended for winter performance.
That’s one of the most common reasons people upgrade. A poorly insulated attic can radiate heat downward and allow hot air infiltration, making upstairs rooms uncomfortable. Improving attic insulation helps block that heat flow and keeps indoor temperatures steadier, so your cooling system isn’t fighting as hard during hot, humid Indiana summers.
This Delphi page describes “spray foam and blown-in insulation” solutions for homes and businesses. In general, common attic options include fiberglass batts/rolls, cellulose, spray foam, and radiant barrier—each chosen based on budget, attic design, and the performance goal (air sealing vs. topping off coverage). Advanced Seal Spray Foam Insulation can recommend an approach after seeing your attic conditions.
R-value targets vary by climate zone and attic design, but the page cites U.S. Department of Energy guidance and notes that attics are commonly recommended in the general range of R-38 to R-60. The right target for your home depends on what’s already there, how much air leakage exists, and whether you’re insulating the attic floor or roofline.
Thickness depends on the insulation material and how it’s installed. Blown-in insulation is measured by installed depth and coverage consistency; spray foam is typically specified by inches of applied foam at key surfaces. Instead of chasing a single “magic number,” focus on even coverage, correct installation details around eaves and penetrations, and a plan that fits your attic’s ventilation and moisture conditions.
Sometimes. If your attic is vented, airflow from soffits to ridge/gable vents is part of keeping moisture under control and reducing temperature extremes at the roof deck. Baffles (rafter vents) can help keep soffit vents from being blocked by insulation. During an estimate, a contractor should confirm whether the attic is designed to be vented and make sure insulation won’t choke off the intake/exhaust path.
It can, especially when moisture problems are caused by warm, humid indoor air leaking into a cold attic surface (condensation). The page calls out preventing “moisture buildup” as a key goal. The best fix usually includes controlling air leakage paths and confirming ventilation is working as designed—because insulation alone doesn’t stop moist air movement if there are bypasses.
Treat that as a moisture problem first. Insulation can be impacted by roof leaks, bathroom fan exhaust issues, or condensation from air leakage. Don’t rely on insulation as “mold remediation.” Instead, identify and correct the moisture source, and replace any insulation that’s wet, matted, or contaminated. An insulation contractor can document what they see and recommend next steps, and you may need a qualified remediation specialist if growth is extensive.
Many attic jobs are completed in a day, but timelines vary with attic size, access, removal needs, and whether air sealing or detail work is required. Crews typically protect floors and access paths, work primarily in the attic, and clean up afterward. If you’re living in the home, ask about staging, noise, and whether certain areas need to be kept clear during the work.
When installed correctly, spray foam is commonly used in residential and commercial buildings. The key is proper application, ventilation during install, and allowing curing time before reoccupying any affected areas (your installer should give specific guidance). If anyone in the household is sensitive to odors, discuss timing and ventilation plans during the estimate so expectations are clear.
If old insulation is damaged, pest-affected, or otherwise compromised, removal can be part of the solution. The page’s reviews include examples where old insulation was removed, cracks/openings were sealed, and then spray foam was applied, with debris hauled away. This is often the cleanest way to “reset” attic performance when the existing material can’t be relied on.
You can start by calling or using the page’s contact form (name, email, phone, how you heard about them, and a message). From there, Advanced Seal Spray Foam Insulation typically reviews your comfort concerns (drafts, uneven temps, moisture worries), checks existing insulation conditions, and recommends a scoped plan (spray foam, blown-in, or a combination) tailored to Delphi and nearby areas. If you want to move forward, request an estimate through the form or call.
