Advanced Seal is who you need to go with if you want spray foam done. Any time we have had them out for a job is it done the same day, even some very large areas. As you can see in the pictures attached they take great pride in not only doing a good job & matching their pledge on foam amount; but also are the cleanest you will find at applying it. No mess, no overspray, done how you would hope it would be. Great people to work with!

Steve and his team came out and did an excellent job for us. We had mice, bats, and possibly a squirrel living in our attics. They came in and sucked out the old insulation, sealed cracks/openings, and applied the spray foam to replace the blown in insulation. They cleaned up after themselves, did excellent work, and hauled everything away. They responded quickly when I first reached out, educated us on what our issues were and how to move forward, and treated our home as if they were working on their own home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

This is the second time I have contacted Steve at Advance Seal for spray foam at my house. They came out in 2021 on short notice and sprayed my crawl space before winter. This time around they spray foamed my 40 x 64 pole building. Quality of work, and professionalism is by far the best in our area. 👌

Steve is simply the best. I’ve had him 3 different times for different projects. Always the same. Work is done correctly and efficiently and looks great. The best is his attention to the small stuff, drop clothes, plastic to cover things to not be damaged. Then the clean up after. Besides having the unbelievable warmth and sealing the foam does. It was like they were never here. I truly wish every contractor I worked with was just like Steve I cannot say Enough good things about him. I’ve always felt like he gives me more than what I paid for. Highly highly recommend

Frequently Asked Questions

Common signs include rooms that feel harder to heat/cool, uneven temperatures between floors, drafts, and rising utility bills during Indiana’s seasonal swings. If your attic insulation is thin, uneven, or disturbed, your HVAC system may be working overtime. A quick attic check can confirm whether you need to add insulation, address gaps, or replace damaged material.
Attic insulation helps reduce heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, which can improve comfort and stabilize indoor temperatures. It can also cut HVAC strain, help with drafty rooms, and reduce temperature swings that can make a home feel “never quite right.” Many homeowners also like that a better-insulated attic can help protect stored items from extreme attic temperatures.
It can—but the size of the impact depends on how under-insulated your attic is today, how leaky the attic floor is, your HVAC efficiency, and how you run the home (thermostat settings, schedules, etc.). In many homes, improving attic insulation reduces HVAC run-time and helps keep conditioned air where it belongs. A site inspection is the best way to estimate likely improvements for your house.
In summer, attic heat can radiate downward and warm upper rooms—especially if insulation levels are low or uneven. Better attic insulation helps slow heat transfer and can make upstairs rooms easier to keep comfortable. If there are also air leaks (like gaps around attic hatches or penetrations), fixing those along with insulation often improves results because less conditioned air escapes into the attic.
Pricing usually depends on attic size and access, the condition of existing insulation, whether removal is needed, and which material is best for your situation. Homes with many penetrations, tricky access, or moisture/pest issues may require extra prep work. Depth/coverage targets matter too—more material and more detail work generally means a larger investment, but also better performance.
The Kokomo page describes “spray foam and blown-in insulation services” for homes and businesses, and Advanced Seal Spray Foam Insulation uses the inspection to recommend what fits your attic and goals. In some situations, one material is the clear fit; in others, a combination approach may make sense. The right choice depends on attic design, access, and whether air leakage is a major driver of discomfort.
Neither is “always best.” Spray foam can help address air leakage at the roofline or specific problem areas, while blown-in insulation is often used to build consistent coverage across attic floors. The best option depends on your attic layout, ventilation strategy, moisture risk, and budget. A contractor should look at what’s already there and recommend a plan that improves comfort without creating ventilation or moisture problems.
It can, but it depends on the scope. Many comfort problems come from air leaks (attic hatches, wiring/plumbing penetrations, top plates), not just low insulation depth. Some projects include sealing gaps/openings before installing or upgrading insulation for better real-world performance. During an inspection, ask what air leakage points are likely in your attic and what sealing steps are recommended for your situation.
Insulation helps, but moisture issues often involve air leakage and ventilation too. Warm, moist indoor air can move into the attic through gaps and condense on cold surfaces in winter. A good approach may include sealing key leakage points, ensuring insulation isn’t blocking soffit intake, and confirming ventilation pathways are clear. If you’re seeing condensation, it’s smart to address it before simply adding more insulation.
Often, yes—especially when adding insulation near soffit vents. Baffles help keep insulation from blocking airflow at the eaves and maintain a clear ventilation channel. That airflow can matter for managing heat and moisture in many attic designs. If your attic uses soffit-to-ridge venting, baffles are commonly part of keeping the system working as intended when insulation depth increases.
Ice dams are usually tied to heat escaping into the attic and warming the roof deck, which melts snow that refreezes at colder edges. Improving attic insulation can help reduce heat loss, but the best results often come from pairing insulation improvements with air-leak control and a ventilation strategy that keeps the roof deck colder and more uniform. If you’re in Kokomo and seeing ice issues, an attic assessment can pinpoint causes.
Don’t treat insulation as a “cover-up.” If there’s visible growth, staining, or persistent musty odor, it’s important to identify the moisture source first (air leaks, ventilation issues, roof leaks, bath fan ducting, etc.). A contractor can note conditions and recommend next steps, but definitive mold identification/remediation may require a specialized professional. Once moisture drivers are addressed, insulation upgrades make more sense.
In most projects, the key is proper containment, ventilation (as needed), and keeping people/pets out of the work area during installation. If spray foam is part of the plan, your contractor should explain the product type, site prep, and re-entry timing based on manufacturer guidance. For blown-in work, dust control and cleanup matter. Always ask what precautions will be used for your home.
Many attic insulation jobs can be completed in a day, but timing depends on attic size, access, prep work, and whether old insulation must be removed. You should expect some jobsite noise, crew traffic, and temporary workspace setup. A quality contractor will explain how they protect floors and access paths, what cleanup looks like, and when you can fully use the space again.
On this page, the call-to-action is to schedule a free attic inspection. Advanced Seal Spray Foam Insulation typically starts by learning your comfort concerns and then checking attic access, insulation condition/coverage, and any obvious problem areas that could affect performance (like disturbed insulation or gaps). You’ll then get recommended options (spray foam and/or blown-in), what the work involves, and how to request the next step.
It depends on the attic condition and goals. Some projects keep existing insulation and add to it; others benefit from removal—especially if insulation is contaminated, badly compressed, or blocking proper coverage. On-page customer reviews mention jobs where old insulation was removed, gaps/openings were sealed, and new insulation was installed, followed by cleanup and haul-away. Ask what’s appropriate for your attic.
Yes—the page positions attic insulation services for “homes and businesses” and labels the work as “Residential | Commercial.” If you have a shop, office, or other building in or near Kokomo, you can request an inspection and ask what insulation approach best fits your roof/attic design, usage patterns, and comfort/efficiency goals.
