Advanced Seal is who you need to go with if you want spray foam done. Any time we have had them out for a job is it done the same day, even some very large areas. As you can see in the pictures attached they take great pride in not only doing a good job & matching their pledge on foam amount; but also are the cleanest you will find at applying it. No mess, no overspray, done how you would hope it would be. Great people to work with!

Steve and his team came out and did an excellent job for us. We had mice, bats, and possibly a squirrel living in our attics. They came in and sucked out the old insulation, sealed cracks/openings, and applied the spray foam to replace the blown in insulation. They cleaned up after themselves, did excellent work, and hauled everything away. They responded quickly when I first reached out, educated us on what our issues were and how to move forward, and treated our home as if they were working on their own home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Once again Steve and his team did what they said they would do, on time and on budget. Their attention to detail is remarkable. They have now foamed our house, my office in the barn and now our entire barn. Honest, hard working, competent. Great midwestern values.

This is the second time I have contacted Steve at Advance Seal for spray foam at my house. They came out in 2021 on short notice and sprayed my crawl space before winter. This time around they spray foamed my 40 x 64 pole building. Quality of work, and professionalism is by far the best in our area. 👌

Steve is simply the best. I’ve had him 3 different times for different projects. Always the same. Work is done correctly and efficiently and looks great. The best is his attention to the small stuff, drop clothes, plastic to cover things to not be damaged. Then the clean up after. Besides having the unbelievable warmth and sealing the foam does. It was like they were never here. I truly wish every contractor I worked with was just like Steve I cannot say Enough good things about him. I’ve always felt like he gives me more than what I paid for. Highly highly recommend

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. This page is specifically for Frankfort, Indiana, and Advanced Seal also lists nearby Central Indiana service areas such as Indianapolis, Lafayette, Kokomo, Lebanon, Logansport, Carmel, Crawfordsville, Delphi, Monticello, and Rossville. If you’re not sure whether your address is in range, request a free inspection and the team will confirm coverage.
In Frankfort, the page highlights spray foam and blown-in insulation for both residential and commercial projects. That typically includes attic, home, crawl space, and specialized building applications (like pole barns and metal buildings) depending on what your property needs after an inspection.
Yes—Advanced Seal promotes free inspections & estimates. During an inspection, a good contractor will look at current insulation levels, comfort issues, access (attic/crawl), signs of moisture or air leakage, and then recommend the best insulation approach for your goals (comfort, efficiency, or moisture control). If you want, ask for the plan in writing so you can compare options confidently.
Yes. The Frankfort page calls out Residential | Commercial, and the site positions Advanced Seal as serving both property types. That matters because the “right” insulation approach can change based on how the building is used (occupied space vs. shop/warehouse, temperature goals, humidity, and access).
Spray foam is often chosen when air sealing is a priority—because stopping air movement is a big part of comfort. Blown-in insulation (cellulose or fiberglass) is commonly used to add thermal coverage over large areas like attic floors, especially after air leaks are sealed. Many projects use a hybrid approach: fix leakage pathways first, then add insulation for the target R-value.
Neither is “always better”—it depends on location and moisture risk. Open-cell is lighter and can be useful in some interior/attic applications; closed-cell generally offers higher R-value per inch and stronger resistance to moisture and air leakage. A trustworthy installer should explain the choice in plain language and match the foam type to the building area (attic vs. crawl vs. metal building).
Yes—this is common in attics and cathedral ceilings when you need to hit code-required insulation levels and also want strong air sealing. Advanced Seal’s own Indiana attic guidance notes that some assemblies require enough total insulation to reach code minimums, which can mean combining spray foam with other insulation types.
Indiana energy code requires at least R-49 in attics for new homes, and some homeowners go higher for performance. The exact best target depends on your house (leakiness, HVAC, and comfort goals), but R-49 is a solid baseline to discuss during your inspection.
Sometimes—spray foam can be used under the roof deck in unvented attic designs, but it must be done with a clear moisture-and-ventilation strategy. Building-science guidance notes risks like rain leaks and condensation if details aren’t handled correctly. A quality contractor will explain how they manage moisture control, roof leak visibility, and ventilation/conditioning changes for your attic.
Often, yes. Advanced Seal’s Indiana attic guidance notes inspectors check both insulation thickness and ignition barrier requirements, and that exposed spray foam may need a code-approved covering (like drywall or a specialty coating) depending on the application. This is a good question to ask before work begins so there are no inspection surprises.
It can. Many comfort problems come from air leakage at rim joists/band boards, crawl spaces, and attic bypasses. Sealing those leakage paths—then insulating correctly—often improves how stable rooms feel across seasons. Advanced Seal positions its approach as practical and building-science driven, which is exactly what you want for a drafty home.
Spray foam can help reduce moisture entry when paired with the right crawl-space strategy, but it’s not a substitute for fixing bulk water problems (leaks, drainage, standing water). The best outcome usually comes from addressing moisture sources first, then insulating and air sealing to keep humid air from continuously entering the space. Ask your inspector what signs of moisture they see and what must be fixed before insulating.
Not always. If the existing insulation is clean, dry, and evenly installed, it may be possible to air-seal and add insulation. Removal becomes more important when old material is contaminated (rodents, bats), wet, moldy, or blocking access to key leak points. Reviews on Advanced Seal’s site specifically mention removal + sealing + replacement in animal-affected attics.
Insulation removal generally means safely extracting old or contaminated insulation, cleaning up debris, and preparing the area for air sealing and new insulation. Advanced Seal lists insulation removal as a core service and frames it as a way to improve air quality and make the next insulation layer perform better. Your inspector should explain what gets removed, what stays, and what the install sequence will be.
Many residential insulation projects are completed in hours to a couple of days, depending on prep, access (tight attics/crawls), and whether insulation removal is needed. The most reliable way to estimate your timeline is a site inspection that confirms access, scope, and any protective masking/containment required.
When spray foam is mixed and applied correctly with proper ventilation during install, exposure risk drops as it cures. Industry guidance emphasizes that re-occupancy depends on the product, ventilation, and job conditions, and notes many manufacturers suggest around 24 hours for high-pressure SPF when recommended ventilation is used—always follow the specific product’s instructions/SDS your installer provides.
